AIM AND SCOPEThe Slovak Spectroscopic Conference continues its long tradition of biennial meetings. The first event of this series was held in Spiš region in 1970. The last meeting took place in Tatranské Zruby, High Tatras in 2004. The aim of the XVIIIth Slovak Spectroscopic Conference is to allow mutual exchange of knowledge, new findings, and experience among the spectroscopists from Slovak and Czech Republic and from other European countries. The programme of this traditional biennial meeting will consist of invited lectures devoted to the relevant fields of spectroscopy, oral presentations, and poster sessions. The emphasis will be put not only on presentation of the latest scientific achievements, new technologies, and instrumentation but also on applications and utilization of spectroscopy in different field of practical life. Ample time for discussion will be provided. The official languages of the conference are Slovak, Czech, and English.
