More than 2,500 environmental science professionals from around the
globe are expected to attend the SETAC North America 27th Annual
Meeting. Here is what you can expect from this meeting:
- SETAC meetings serve as a platform for representatives from
government, business, and academia to exchange ideas, observe current
trends, and present research in their areas of expertise.
- More than 2,500 individuals attended the SETAC North America 26th
Annual Meeting. With that many professionals who share your interest in
the environment, the possibilities to network and establish
relationships with others are endless.
- As always, a number of activities and events are planned to showcase all that Montreal, and the Society, has to offer.
- SETAC meetings present an opportunity for you to meet the leadership of SETAC and provide feedback about your Society.
- Professional Development Courses and Seminars expand your technical
expertise on a wide variety of topics in full- and half-day intervals.
- The CareerCenter fosters fruitful, face-to-face connections between
employers in search of talent and professionals in search of rewarding
employment.
- The Tradeshow in the Exhibition Hall is an arena for you to
personally meet with representatives from more than 80 consulting
firms, manufacturers, publishers, and more (others whose products or
services assist in your everyday needs).
Sound science and close camaraderie make a SETAC meeting an
extraordinary experience, but there is also something special about
Montreal. Montréal is truly an experience: old world, French charm and
a modern style all its own. Nestled between mountain and river,
Montréal offers something for everyone, from the prestigious Museum of
Fine Arts—of the Museum Quarter, and other trend setting art galleries
to a thriving Chinatown to Sherbrooke Street and the designer
boutiques. You can also explore the famous underground pedestrian
network, located directly under the heart of Montreal; these brightly
lit, clean passageways link thousands of boutiques, major hotels,
restaurants, and many other attractions. Visit www.tourisme-montreal.org for more exciting information on what this city has to offer.
