The program will include keynote lectures and poster sessions covering
recent developments in the study of this element in environmental and
biological systems. The workshop will set priorities on recent developments in the study of antimony with the following points:
- Environmental fate and behaviour (all environmental compartments and food)
- Bacterial role in cycling
- Analytical procedures with special emphasis on speciation or difficult matrices
- Human- and eco-toxicological effects including pharmaceutical applications
- Interdependencies with other elements (e.g. arsenic)
- Remediation options
