CBI: Ireland legislation: Substances in vehicles
Description
The European Union has laid down restrictions on the use of certain substances (lead, cadmium, chromium, mercury) in vehicles in Directive 2000/53/EC on end-of-life vehicles (ELV).
Ireland has not yet fully implemented the ELV Directive but the country is in process of adopting all the restrictions in its national legislation.
