Development of atomic spectrometric methods for analysis (AAS, MIP, ICP, AF)
Development of new methodologies for speciation analysis of metals and metalloids: As, Se, Pb, Hg.
Development of new instrumentation allowing preconcentration and separation of analytes of interest.
Development of instrumentation for sample pre-treatment (ASE).
SPME applied to organo-metal determination.
Analytical intruments developed, constructed and validated: Capillary Cold Trap and controller unit; prototype, industrial version, automatized including software (in development), Variable volume pervaporation cell and controller unit, Solid Phase Microextraction fiber desorption unit, Automated Speciation Analyzer (colaboration), optical focus for MIP-AES, Accelerated Solvent Extraction (two prototypes, 1 and 3 extraction cartridges), In-tube extraction device.
Instrumentation:
Microwave induced plasma with atomic emission detection
Ion chromatography coupled with mass spectrometric detection
Atomic absorption (quartz cell, flame, graphite furnace)
Gas chromatography (NPD, FPD, ECD, FID),
High performance liquid chromatography (DAD), capillary electrophoresis (DAD).
