Interests:
Analytical chemistry - trace element analysis and speciation in biological material.
The main interest is hyphenated techniques including elemental MS and molecular MS for detection and identification of metabolites with focus on human health.
The main projects are selenium metabolism in general and in cancer cells and analysis of metallo-drugs and their interactions with biomolecules.
Instrumental methods: LC-ICP-MS, CE-ICP-MS, LC-MSn.
General interest: Improvement of sample preparation methods, separation methods and hyphenation to ICP-MS and MS for separation and identification.
Improvement of interfacing separation methods to ICP-MS
Instrumentation:
ICP-MS (PE Sciex Elan 6000 and PE Sciex DRC-e)
Chromatographic and capillary electrophoretic equipment.
