Interests:
  • Analytical chemistry - trace element analysis and speciation in biological material.
  • The main interest is hyphenated techniques including elemental MS and molecular MS for detection and identification of metabolites with focus on human health.
  • The main projects are selenium metabolism in general and in cancer cells and analysis of metallo-drugs and their interactions with biomolecules.
  • Instrumental methods: LC-ICP-MS, CE-ICP-MS, LC-MSn.
  • General interest: Improvement of sample preparation methods, separation methods and  hyphenation to ICP-MS and MS for separation and identification.
  • Improvement of interfacing separation methods to ICP-MS
