Interests:
Main method development topics of his group are speciation using various hyphenated techniques, stable isotope ratio measurements and solid sample introduction while main application fields are in bio-medical, environmental, geological and industrial (ultra-)trace element analysis. Luc is also heading a research group dealing with the characterisation of artists' materials used in painting and with the fast identification of micro-organisms and fungi. Main methods for this research are total reflection X-ray spectrometry, Raman spectrometry and chemometrics.
Instrumentation:
ICP-QMS (SCIEX ELAN 5000, HP 4500)
ICP-QMS with Dynamic Reaction Cell (PE-SCIEX ELAN 6100 DRC)
ICP-SFMS (Finnigan-MAT Element)
