X-ray spectrometer: XRF
The JSX-3202EV is an element analyzer (energy dispersive fluorescent X-ray analyzer) designed for environmental studies The JSX-3200EV complies to two directives of the European Union (EU)-- Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) and Restricting the use of Hazardous Substances (RoHS).
Using a new optic system, a high power X-ray source, and a high resolution detector, the JSX-3200EV is capable of detecting toxic substances such as cadmium (Cd), lead (Pb), mercury (Hg), chrome (Cr), and arsenic (As) contained in plastic, packing materials, and pigments.
The JSX-3202EV has achieved a sensitivity of 5 ppm in analyzing trace cadmium (Cd) in plastic and a lower detection limit of 2 ppm in standard sample analysis at the Application Center of JEOL Ltd. With software packages designed for environmental analysis, the system is ideal for inspection and quality control, performing automated sequences of analysis from detection, analysis, and evaluation.
