Microplate strip-washer
Based on its excellent performance, versatility and attractive pricing the Columbus has set a standard for strip-wise processing of Enzyme Immuno Assays. The advanced design of Columbus, which uses multiple aspiration points per well (crosswise aspiration), helps to minimize residual volumes and, in combination with a fast wash-mode called Overflow washing, ensures optimal assay performance. Furthermore a set of options such as the sophisticated Fill Verification Manifold for on-line monitoring of liquid dispensing during the wash-step and the Liquid Sensor System for control of filling levels of wash buffer waste bottles take care of your process-control needs.
Product highlights include:
- The Columbus washer for EIA in a 96-well format was designed to comply with the EU Directive 98/79/EC for in vitro diagnostics
- 8-, 12- or 16-channel manifolds for optimum throughput in 96-well microplates
- Multiple aspiration points per well to minmize residual volume
- Easy programming via built-in keypad or via PC using WinWash Clinical software
- For optimum application flexibility up to 4 different wash-buffers can be used in one run
- Easy integration into automated ELISA platforms such as Freedom EVOlyzer®
- Optional Fill Verification Manifold for on-line process control of wash step
- Optional Liquid Sensor system for control of filling levels in wash buffer, rinse- and waste bottles
- For research-use only, an optional manifold for 384-well plates and an optional manifold for cell washing are available
