Continuous On-Line Monitoring of VOCs/TICs The Scentograph CMS500 is designed to operate as a continuous on-line chemical monitoring system for the analysis of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), including toxic industrial chemicals (TICs), in water streams. It can operate automatically and unattended, providing reliable, real-time measurements. Lab-quality gas chromatograph (GC) technology allows it to accurately measure concentrations ranging from high part-per-million (ppm) to low part-per-trillion (ppt) levels, with sampling and reporting of results at programmable intervals. The Scentograph CMS500 is today's solution to the chemical security requirements for all water sources.
Applications:
- early alert to protect water source and water distribution against intentional or
- unintentional water contamination
- drinking water distribution system regulatory compliance (THMs)
- wastewater discharge regulatory compliance
- industrial process efficiency
- carbon bed breakthrough
- storm water monitoring
- HRVOC monitoring in cooling towers' water
Advanced Technology Yields Lab-Quality Water Analyses The Scentograph CMS500 rapidly analyzes VOCs in water using a modified EPA purge and trap protocol. This is made possible by the state-of-the-art SituProbe, which performs the purge in the water. No pumps, valves or cells are exposed to the water matrix, eliminating the need for sample pretreatment or filtration. Since the sample matrix does not affect the system's performance, even complex water samples can be analyzed with ease.
Scentograph CMS500 operation is simple, reliable and requires minimum training and maintenance. The results are displayed, stored or retrieved in computerized format. Once installed in a suitable secured enclosure at an industrial or municipal location, it will provide long-term, unattended monitoring.
