Thermal Analysis: DMA |
The simultaneous thermal analysis measures the change in mass and temperature (G and T) of a sample as a function of temperature (T).
The weighing system is positioned below the furnace with the STA 502. The balance shows a high sensitivity and by dynamic gas load a stable behaviour. A high sensitivity is gained by the flat metallic DSC sensor and the good thermal transmission thus enabling an exact determination of enthalphys, specific heat and transformation temperatures.
Disc and tube furnaces for different temperature ranges are available. The disc furnace shows an excellent temperature profile due to a disc shaped heating element that is positioned above and below the sample. The temperature ranges are between -160°C und 1720°C. With the tube furnaces the heating elements are bifilar and extraordinary long, to gain a homogenous temperature profile. The temperature ranges are between -160°C und 2000°C.
The entire electronics operates digitally and with an own processor system to control and regulate the furnace, the measuring data recording, the gas supply, the vacuum unit and the safety devices.
The professional 32-Bit software WinTA 9.0 runs under Windows® 95, 98, ME, 2000, NT4.0, XP. An extensive software accurately and efficiently deals with both routine tasks and comprehensive evaluations. Export function as tables in ASCII and Excel format and a graphic file output in the formats BMP, JPG, TIF, EMF etc. enable a cross-platform work.
