The GV Instruments IsoProbe-T™ is a Multi-Collector Thermal Ionisation Mass Spectrometer (TIMS) with a multiple-Faraday/ion-counting collector assembly for the precise determination of isotope ratios. GV Instruments designers have created a new instrument for a new era in Thermal Ionisation MS. The IsoProbe-T™ encompasses innovative, forward-thinking design, capitalising on over 30 years of experience amassed by GV Instruments engineers. The GV Instruments IsoProbe-T™ incorporates superior electronics, unique InflexIon™ optics and a wide flight tube for 17.5% relative mass separation in the static mode of collection. The new M17 collector assembly is designed for total flexibility and incorporates field proven LIF™ Faraday collectors, together with the option of a multiple ion counting array, to measure isotope ratios at picogram sample sizes. New features of the instrument include: - Field proven LIF™ long life Faraday collectors giving many years of optimal performance
- State-of-the-art detection electronics providing low noise levels on Faraday cups that do not require large ion signals to obtain high precision
- 17.5% mass dispersion on an ion focal plane optimised for unity efficiency
- Multiple ion counting that can be used in addition to the Faraday collector array, rather than replacing with
- MassLynx™ data system for the ultimate in control and data handling software
