The Alcott Model 718 is a syringe style, partial fill loop designed autosampler equipped standard with a 72 position, 12mm vial tray and a 250 µL syringe. The 718 autosampler emulates exactly how a manual HPLC injection would be made. With the use of the micro inserts for the 12mm vial, as little as 1µL of sample can be withdrawn from a 3µL sample. Also, as much as a 2mL of sample can be injected by the use of user changeable loops and syringes. The autosampler process first places the needle in the sampler vial where a predetermined aliquot of sampler is withdrawn. The needle then moves to the injection valve where it loads the sample onto the sample loop. The injection valve switches and completes the introduction of the sampler into the chromatograph. Optional trays include the single 96 well microfilter tray, the 128 position 8mm vial tray and the 50 position, 15mm vial tray. A refrigerated version of the above described autosampler is also available.
