The SPECTROBLUE is an inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometer (ICP-OES) that sets new benchmarks among compact, mid-range spectrometers for simplified operation, low maintenance and affordability. With a 750 mm focal length Paschen-Runge optical system and 15 linear CCD array detectors it provides unmatched optical resolution and sensitivity. The unique full-transparency UV-PLUS approach eliminates consumable purge gases and ensures excellent long-term stability.
A field-proven, robust generator design packs an ample power reserve that can handle the most extreme plasma loads. The heat from the generator’s high-power ceramic tube is eliminated through the use of innovative air-cooled technology that alleviates the need for an expensive external water-based cooling system.
Along with these features, the SPECTROBLUE ICP-OES system comes equipped with SPECTRO’s proprietary SMART ANALYZER VISION software. With its highly adaptable interface, the software makes it easy for users of all experience levels to take full advantage of the instrument’s simplified operation and unique analytical capabilities.
SPECTROBLUE is available in three rugged, ultra-reliable versions. The SPECTROBLUE EOP provides axial, the SPECTROBLUE SOP radial and the SPECTROBLUE TI with twin interface both axial and radial viewing of the plasma.
SPECTROBLUE EOP, the unique axial interface version, provides high sensitivity and detection limits for superior analysis of industrial and environmental trace elements.
SPECTROBLUE SOP radial interface version offers precise performance at higher sample concentrations, exhibiting excellent tolerance for high saline and organic fractions plus superb analysis of suspensions and slurries.
SPECTROBLUE TI twin-interface version automatically performs both axial and radial viewing of the plasma. This optimises linearity and dynamic range while enabling high-sensitivity measurement of toxic elements.
SPECTROBLUE TI minimises the easily ionisable element (EIE) effect that can decrease linearity. It also cuts cost and contamination by eliminating ionisation buffers. Contamination, and thus cleaning and maintenance, is also greatly reduced by offsetting the analyser’s switchable three-mirror periscope at a 45° angle. Finally, this version features a revolutionary design that minimises the number of optical surfaces, maximising light throughput and optimising performance.
The new SPECTROBLUE’S (Model No. FMX26) flexible design allows field conversion of a SPECTROBLUE EOP model to full TI version functionality.
