Automated Fusion Technology Pty Ltd ( AFT ) was
established in July 1991 as a design, manufacturing and service
organisation specialising in automated fusion equipment. In addition
to supplying a wide range of standard fusion machines and options,
AFT provides a customised service which designs and builds equipment
to meet clients needs. The range of products includes service
contracts, customised designs for laboratory automation and sample
preparation advise. In order to provide a professional service
to clients on various aspects of sample preparation, AFT has developed
a research cell within La Trobe University, Department of Geology,
School of Earth Sciences, Australia. This service is available
to advise on the correct ratio, fusion times and cooling rates.
In August 1993 Automated Fusion Technology Pty Ltd won the Telecom
and Victorian Government Small Business Award for Total Management
/ Best Practice. In 1997 AFT obtained accreditation to ISO 9002.
AFT has earned an excellent reputation for the innovation
of its products and commitment to a high level of back up service.
