CABI Publishing is one of the leading publishers of bibliographic databases, books, CD-ROMs and Internet resources in the applied life sciences. It also provides information solutions to support sustainable development.

The range of CABI Publishing products and services covers animal sciences, entomology, plant sciences, environmental sciences, human health, parasitology, mycology, crop protection, rural development and economics and leisure and tourism.

Over 90 years of information provision

CABI Publishing's main output is bibliographic databases, which cover over 90 years of research into the applied life sciences. At present the entire database (CAB Abstracts) totals over 4 million fully indexed records taken from more than 9,000 peer-reviewed journals from 140 countries and over 2,500 books, conference proceedings and other papers. All records are written by subject experts giving the user unbiased and informative summaries of the world's scientific literature.

Due to the extensive subject coverage users may also subscribe to subsets of the database that correspond to their own disciplines. CABI Publishing also provides a bespoke search service where subject specialists will run searches to meet users exact requirements.

CABI Publishing's books programme

CABI Publishing produces over 60 new books each year, its output consists of research monographs, student textbooks and major reference works, including dictionaries and encyclopaedias. Conference proceedings and practical handbooks for the professional reader are also key features of the list.
