Created in October 1995 by Philippe Corcos, the first mission of CortecNet was to provide a reliable range of consumables to the European community of researchers in the field of Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR).It concerned :

Then, in 1999, CortecNet became the official distributor of ALL Bruker NMR consumables :
Liquid NMR Accessories
NMR consumables for Solid State NMR
and was able to propose also some stable isotopes such as glucose13C6, 15NH4Cl or amino acids, 29Si, 3He, H2O18, H2O17...
However, from a niche market approach (NMR), CortecNet wanted to become a key player in supplying consumables in the Laboratory Market by creating a B2B e-commerce Marketplace. This concept was based on the creation of a unique consolidated e-catalog, listing hundreds thousands products, federating hundreds of suppliers classified in tens of categories of products. Beginning of 2000, CortecNet raised about 4,0 M€ to build a first version of this Marketplace with a tool of e-Procurement & Supply chain.
Beginning of 2001, CortecNet has been able to launch the first version of its e-commerce Marketplace that offered more than 200 000 products, in 70 categories of products and federating more than 100 suppliers with an e-Procurement & Supply chain module.The categories of products concerned were :

Analytical products (NMR, GC Columns, Seringes, LC Columns, CHN Capsules for Elemental Analysis...)
Chemical products (Stable Isotopes, Organic Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Specialty Gases...)
Labware products (Vials, Pipets, Various Glassware and Apparatus ...)
However, during 2001, the crack of ALL the e-business companies totally changed the situation of CortecNet. Instead of raising 10 M€, as expected, to continue on its development, CortecNet could only raise 0.5M€ and decided to standby Research & Developement in order to enable a financial restructuring.
In 2004 and after 3 years of this huge restructuring, CortecNet decided to concentrate its efforts only on categories of products that brought value to its current customers :
