GV Instruments Ltd began operations at the end of March 2003 as a result of the acquisition of the inorganic mass spectrometry products of Micromass Ltd [a division of the Waters Corporation] and two small companies, Analytical Precision Products Ltd, a supplier of stable isotope mass spectrometers, and HtX Ltd, a developer of noble gas mass spectrometers.
