The Irish Mass Spectrometry Society - IMSS - is a voluntary society with the aim of providing a forum where practitioners of Mass Spectrometry in Ireland, both new and experienced, can meet to inform themselves and each other on current practice and new developments in the area. The Society is run by a committee elected every two years and it aims to hold one full-day scientific meeting in May each year and if possible a half-day event later in the year. The 2003 meeting took place on Wednesday May 7th 2003
in the Red Cow Conference Centre, Naas Rd. Dublin
The Society unfortunately became inactive after that and no meetings were held in 2004 or 2005. It was hoped to reactivate the Society towards the end of 2005 and to hold a meeting in 2006 but it is now likely to be 2007 before the next meeting is held.
