- The Corsair ist a robust electrospray ion source/orthogonal-acceleration time-of-flight mass spectrometer. The compact design of the instrument means it can sit on a bench top freeing up laboratory floor space.

- Structure elucidation is facilitated by capillary/skimmer collision-induced dissociation (CID). Rapid swiching between high and low collision energy improves sample throughput.
- A dual-probe electrospray interface facilitates internal mass scale calibration to ensure mass accuracy, without compromising analyte purity. Grounded probes ensure safe operation for the user and attached euqipment.
- High ion transfer efficiency into the TOF-MS is achieved by a self-aligning dielectric capillary coupled to a high-transmission hexapole ion guide.
- The multi-pumping stage hexapole ion guide doubles as a 2-D trap to yield enhanced sensitivity for small sample amounts.
- A high-energy post-acceleration detector improves high m/z detection yields.
- Digitization rates of 0.5 - 2.0 GHz are user selectable.
- AVIATOR software provides user control of all acquisition and analysis functions, including multi-state acquisition and evaluation, charge-state deconvolution, etc.
