The Summit® P680 Dual Low-Pressure Gradient HPLC Pump incorporates two ternary gradient pumps in one enclosure and is an integral part of the Dual-Gradient HPLC and LC/MS Systems. Run it together with the SOR-100 Solvent Rack and the TCC-100 Thermostatted Column Compartment with two-position six-port or 10-port valves for highest flexibility. Use the dual-gradient pump for all standard analytical methods as well as advanced chromatographic techniques requiring two pumps, such as two-column tandem operation, 2-D chromatography, or on-line sample preparation. Precious bench space is conserved because all components neatly stack in the Summit system tower. The versatility of the Dual Low-Pressure Gradient P680 Pump is apparent by its wide flow rate range of up to 10 mL/min and its low gradient delay volume of <400 µL. Ruggedness and high uptime are ensured with a patented active rear-seal wash system and continuous monitoring of piston seal tightness. | Higher Productivity
In combination with the two-position 10-port switching valve, the Dual-Gradient P680 Pump can be used in two-column tandem mode with off-line column regeneration. Cycle times are reduced by equilibrating one column while the other one is simultaneously used for gradient analysis. After the analytical run is completed, the columns are switched and the next sample can immediately be injected. This process results in a substantial increase in sample throughput by up to 60%. The Dual-Gradient Pump also facilitates support of advanced chromatography applications, such as sample cleans up and 2-D chromatographic methods. | Accurate and Precise Gradients
The best way to test the ability of a pump to perform accurate and precise gradients is to run a gradient profile with very small gradient steps. With the P680 DGP, the 1% steps are clearly defined, accurate, and reproducible; the maximum step deviation is less than 0.5%. The reproducibility is better 0.2% SD for all steps. This incredible performance is achieved using SmartFlow TM technology and the high precision of the pump's proportioning valve. | Faster Results with Minimal Delay Volume
Because the P680 Dual-Gradient Pump eliminates pulsation at its source, additional pulse dampening devices are not required. Thus, the gradient delay volume is less than 400 µL, including the integral dynamic mixing chamber. Unlike pulse damper equipped systems, the delay volume — and therefore the retention time reproducibility in gradient applications — is totally independent of the system pressure. Minimal gradient delay volume and the small-volume dynamic mixer make even fast gradients highly reproducible. | Reliable Results
The synchronization of the ASI-100™ autosampler injection with the Dual-Gradient P680 Pump, pushes the retention time reproducibility to new limits. The synchronization is typically used with gradient applications. The autosampler and pump communicate with each other to ensure reliable results for your most demanding analysis. |
