ProcesScan™ FT is the on-line analyser providing high accuracy data for standardisation of milk and valuable liquid dairy products. It is installed directly on the plant floor to determine the content of fat, protein, lactose, solid and other components for process control.
The ProcesScan FT uses a Fourier Transform InfraRed (FTIR) interferometer that scans the full infrared spectrum and it offers transferable calibrations. The design enables stable operation even in harsh environments with vibrations and temperature fluctuations.
By linking the ProcesScan FT to the FOSS ProcessTouch™ software, the dairy gets a complete set-up for milk standardisation - a total solution that optimises both production economy and product quality for cheese, milk powder, liquid/UHT milk, WPC, condensed milk etc. with a unique performance.
Benefits and features ProcesScan™ FT offers a fully automated process analyser without daily maintenance and the best achievable performance installed in a process environment. The heart of the flow system is a diamond cuvette, which makes it possible to CIP clean the flow system together with CIP cleaning of the process. The automated cleaning and zero settings are very efficient. ProcesScan FT operates with 100% transferable calibrations. This is possible due to a special standardising procedure, which makes all the analysers equal. Calibration stability is unique. Free air in the process line is unavoidable. ProcesScan FT performance is not affected by up to 10 percentages free air. The measurements are still correct. ProcesScan FT picks up all variations in the milk composition from top to bottom in the milk silo and it is independent of flow dynamics and measures e.g. high and low fat content during desluding and other process disturbances. In other words, ProcesScan FT sees everything and that is what you get into the tank or cheese vat or even directly to the filler/buffer tank. ProcesScan FT readings keep your process under control. Operator interface is a desktop PC in the control room from where DDE communication can be established to basically any PLC. Basis for control of small batches and not only the same target set point in the flow. ProcesScan FT requires a minimum of maintenance. This is supported by exchange modules which can be changed by your own maintenance staff. A Hot Line service is available during 24 hours on weekdays in combination with a preventative maintenance arrangement. Modem support is highly recommended for efficient support.
