New advancements in the HT3 allow you to control, expand and improve Headspace analysis for a wide variety of applications. The HT3 simplifies method development for even the most complex samples, including profiling of analytes that vary in boiling point and structure. With the HT3, you can switch between Static and Dynamic Headspace techniques within a single schedule, allowing greater flexibility for a variety of applications. The Dynamic Headspace option continually sweeps the headspace of a sample, and then concentrates the analytes onto an adsorbent trap, increasing sensitivity by up to 100 times! The valve and loop system utilized in the HT3 is a rugged and versatile technique for sampling headspace from a vial. Unlike syringe-based systems, the valve and loop technique does not compromise the integrity of the injection. For seamless integration, the HT3 operates with all commercial Gas Chromatographs.
Expanded Analytical Capabilities Static and Dynamic Techniques in One System The Dynamic Headspace option in the HT3 provides up to 100 times improved sensitivity for a wider range of target analytes. Only with the HT3 can you switch between static and dynamic techniques in the same schedule to analyze multiple matrices on the same system without starting a new schedule. The new Dynamic Headspace option for the HT3 allows for analysis of compounds down to levels previously undetectable by Static Headspace and requires less sample for low-level detection.
Highest Temperature Capabilities in a Headspace System The 300°C sample path enables analysis of a wider range of analytes and difficult sample matrices. The HT3 is the only headspace system in which the entire sample pathway can be heated to 300°C, preventing condensation of compounds that could cause carryover and possible damage to the system. Static and Dynamic Headspace technology in one instrument maximizes your analytical capabilities while saving you money and valuable bench-space.
Inert Sample Pathway The inert Silcosteel® sample pathway, transfer line, loop and needle provide superior analytical results by eliminating adsorption and reactivity. The inert sample pathway also reduces carryover and prevents corrosion from highly-acidic samples.
True Walk-Away Automation The HT3 contains a built-in 60-position autosampler to maximize productivity and automatically determines when to load and unload samples into a 10- position platen heater. The Constant Heat Time feature ensures each sample is heated for exactly the same time for reproducibility and increased sample throughput. The new platen heater is designed for improved temperature uniformity, increasing vial to vial heating accuracy for greater precision in your analysis. With enhanced Method Optimization Mode, the analyst can optimize different method variables such as platen temperature and sample equilibration time. With the 60-position autosampler the HT3 provides the most complete method optimization capabilities for unattended sample analysis.
Improved Diagnostics and Easy Maintenance A benchmark test verifies all critical electrical and mechanical components of the HT3, allowing you to quickly find the source of a problem. Leak checking is fully automated with the HT3 and can be completed in a matter of minutes. Rugged stepper motors and a removable plumbing module simplify maintenance. Faster Equilibration Times with Sample Mixing Teledyne Tekmar’s sample mixing system offers variable power levels to mix samples, reducing equilibration time so you can analyze more samples in less time. The mixing system also reduces thermal exposure of the sample, lessening the chance of breakdown of analytes.
