Chinese Journal of Analytical Chemistry is an academic journal of analytical chemistry established in 1972 and sponsored by the Chinese Chemical Society and Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Its objectives are to report the original scientific research achievements and review the recent development of analytical chemistry in all areas. The journal sets up 5 columns including Research Papers, Research Notes, Experimental Technique and Instrument, Review and Progress and Summary Accounts. The journal published monthly in Chinese language. A detailed abstract, keywords and the titles of figures and tables are provided in English, except column of Summary Accounts. Prof. Wang Erkang, an outstanding analytical chemist, academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences & Third World Academy of Sciences, holds the post of the Editor-in-chief.

Chinese Journal of Analytical Chemistry is a core scientific journal in China. It was awarded the Prize of First National Excellent Periodical Publication of China in 1999, and Special Prize of the Excellent Periodical Publication for Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2000, and the Prize of Third Excellent Periodical Publication of China Association for Science and Technology in 2002, and the Prize of Second National Excellent Periodical Publication of China in 2003. The Contents of the journal have been indexed and cited in more than 30 abstract or index publications and databases, such as Science Citation Index-Expanded (SCIE,USA), Chemical Abstracts (CA,USA), Current Bibliography on Science and Technology (Japan) and P ˛ (Russia) etc. Since 1994 the impact factors and the cited numbers of the journal were in the first rank in Chinese scientific journals from Chinese Journal Citation Report (CJCR), and the impact factors and the cited numbers of the journal in 1999 & 2000 ranked all the first in Chinese chemical journals, and the impact factor and the cited number of the journal in 2001 ranked the third and the second in Chinese chemical journals, respectively.
