Description
Xenobiotica covers three main areas: general xenobiochemistry, including the metabolism and disposition of drugs and environmental chemicals in animals, plants and micro-organisms, and the related methodology; molecular toxicology, concerning mechanisms of toxicity and the study of toxicology at the molecular level; and clinical pharmacokinetics and metabolism, focusing on the pharmacokinetic behaviour of foreign compounds in man. A close liaison between Xenobiotica and the International Society for the Study of Xenobiotics has been established, giving rise to special issues of the journal.
