Laboratory method using flame atomic absorption spectrometry or electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry

The principal changes which have been made are (i) to modify the dissolution technique, which was found to be unreliable for certain cadmium compounds,2 (ii) to specify the use of samplers for inhalable or respirable dust, as appropriate, (iii) to recommend the use of filters that are soluble using the dissolution technique described, and (iv) to describe the use of electrothermal
atomic absorption spe ctrometry for the analysis of sample solutions with a low cadmium concentration.
