  • structurally characterize toxicologically important metabolites that are formed between toxic metals/metalloid compounds and endogenous thiols and dithiols as well as synthetic ones (chelating agents);
  • probe the comparative stability of the aforementioned metabolites under simulated physiological conditions;
  • establish the molecular basis of known antagonistic and synergistic interactions in mammals that involve the simultaneous administration of an essential and a toxic metal/metalloid compound;
  • study the competitive interaction between individual toxic metals/metalloid compounds and multiple endogenous ligands;
  • probe the biotransformation of clinically used anticancer metallodrugs in human blood plasma in vitro
  • SEC-FAAS, SEC-ICP-AES, SEC-ICP-MS,
  • 77Se-NMR,
  • ESI-MS,
