Building on the success of the ten previous AIRMON conferences, we will address the most recent advancements in human exposure assessment and strategies, with a special focus on air sampling, biomonitoring, and novel analytical techniques. The conference will bring together international participants experienced in fundamental aspects,
instrumentation, and applications to examine recent progress in this continuing growing field of human environmental and occupational exposure assessment.

The conference will address methods for assessing airborne exposure at work, residential, and in the environment, as well as related analytical air sampling and biomonitoring techniques.

More specifically these topics will be covered:

Air Monitoring
  • Ambient, indoor and occupational air measurements
  • Personal, stationary and continuous monitoring – remote sensing
  • Sampling of gases, volatile and semi-volatile compounds – pumped, passive and mixed phases
  • Sampling strategies- pumped, passive and mixed phases
  • Sampling of inorganic, organic, fibrous, and biological aerosols
  • Particle size selective sampling
  • Direct reading sensors

Biomonitoring
  • Sampling strategies to occupational and environmental biomonitoring.
  • Biomarkers of exposure, susceptibility and effect
  • Applications of biomarkers in assessing health risk of air and dermal exposures

Analytical Methodologies
  • New development of analytical methods
  • Novel nano-and microplastic measurement methodologies
  • Physico-chemical-biological properties of exposure
  • Application of Artificial intelligence
  • Uncertainties – Quality of measurements

Air Exposure Assessments and Modelling
  • Ambient, indoor and occupational studies
  • Exposure interpretation
  • Modelling for regulatory risk assessments
