The Sixth International Symposium on Applied Isotope Geochemistry (AIG-6) will take place at the Brevnov Abbey, Prague, Czech Republic from Sunday, September 11 to Friday, September 16, 2005.
The Symposium is organized by the Working Group on Applied Isotope Geochemistry of the International Association of Geochemistry and Cosmochemistry (IAGC).
The primary purpose of the AIG meetings is to contribute to the advancement of isotope geochemistry by bringing together researchers from academic institutions, industry and government regulatory bodies who specialize in the application of isotope geochemistry to the earth sciences. Recent developments in technology play an important role in AIG meetings. Representatives of instrument manufacturers are encouraged to attend and contribute.
Previous AIG meetings have been held in Geiranger, Norway (1993), Lake Louise, Canada (1997), Orleans, France (1999), Pacific Grove, California (2001), and on Heron Island, Australia (2003).

Oral Presentations
There will be four Plenary
Lectures, providing a synthesizing view of a self-contained area of
isotope research. Each Plenary Lecture will be 30 minutes in length,
plus 5 minutes for discussion.
Time slots for contributed oral presentations will be 20 minutes.
Please prepare talks for 17 minutes in length, to allow for a 3-minute
discussion. Conference participants may indicate their preference for
an oral or poster presentation on their Registration Form, however, the
Organizing Committee will make the final decision and notify the
authors by May 10, 2005.
We plan that the normal mode of presentation will be via Power
Point. There will be facilities available for those who choose to use
overhead and/or slide projection. Speakers using Power Point will be
asked to arrive at the meeting with their material already loaded on a
CD. Please use CD-R, do NOT use CD-RW. The presenters may also use the
Flash drive USB or USB 2.0.
Poster Presentations
Posters will be displayed
throughout the duration of the Symposium (Monday-Friday). A one-hour
Poster Session will be held each afternoon. The display area for a
poster is 90 cm wide and 170 cm high.
