The program will include investigators drawn from the chemical,
biological, and medical fields, with a range of topics spanning
different facets of copper biology. The meeting will begin on September
19 with two clinical/translational sessions and will follow a similar
format to previous meetings with sessions Mon.-Thurs. as well as a free
afternoon to enjoy Sorrento and the surrounding area. Topics include
therapeutic approaches to copper-related diseases, copper in signaling,
cancer, and neurodegenerative disease, copper and mitochondria, copper
import, export, and storage, copper in pathogenesis, and copper enzymes.
In addition to the confirmed speakers (
Program ), a number of short talks will be selected from the submitted abstracts. There will also be three poster sessions.
