Interests:
Development and application of new analytical methods for field and laboratory environmental studies.
Chemical research is focused on problematic species in the aquatic environment, answering questions about molecular transformations, mobility, bioavailability, toxicity effects of metals and other elements. A particular focus is on coupling devices linking separation techniques to ICP-MS and ESI-MS.
Instrumentation:
Separation techiques: narrow bore ion chromatography, size exclusion chrom., RP-HPLC, capillary electrophoresis CE
Coupling techiques: micro concentric nebulizers, ultrasonic nebulizer
Detectors: double focusing high resolution magnetic sector field ICP-MS
non specific detectors: UV, conductiviy, electrochemical detetion, chemiluninescence
