Agilent 7500a ICP-MS - The Flexible Workhorse The Agilent 7500a ICP-MS is a full-featured, high-performance bench top instrument for the routine determination of metals in a wide variety of sample types. Advanced design and extensive testing has produced an extremely rugged unit capable of generating high quality data even in a non-ideal laboratory environment. The Agilent 7500a is the ideal product for laboratories looking to replace existing GFAAS and ICP-OES instrumentation. The Agilent 7500a features the Agilent ShieldTorch System (STS) for high sensitivity performance across the full mass range. The ShieldTorch also enables cool plasma operation, for the removal of polyatomic interferences on K, Ca and Fe, and carbon-based interferences in organics. A wide range of optional accessories enhances the system flexibility of the Agilent 7500a. The Integrated Sample Introduction System (ISIS) is a powerful tool for increasing sample throughput or automating manual tasks such as sample dilution. Agilent GC interface is the first commercially available interface enabling GC-ICP-MS analysis. Add the Agilent TechnologiesEPlasma Chromatographic software and the 7500a becomes a very powerful solution for speciation analysis. The 7500a can be upgraded easily onsite with reaction cell technology should user requirements change. Features Compact, benchtop design and durable, stainless steel chassis - Open architecture sample introduction area for ease of use
- Peltier cooled sample introduction system
Precision, computer-controlled torch alignment for consistent performance - The ShieldTorch system for enhanced sensitivity
- Robust 27MHz solid-state RF generator
- Innovative interface design featuring dual extraction lenses
- Omega II off-axis lens system
- True hyperbolic quadrupole cross-section rods
- High quadrupole frequency by digitally synthesized 3MHz RF generator
- Simultaneous Dual-Mode detector with an exclusive high-speed amplifier providing nineorders of linear dynamic range
- Comprehensive range of accessories
In addition to the standard Agilent 7500a, two optimized, application specific configurations are also available:
Agilent 7500s: The 7500 pachage is optimized for those applications that require ultra high sensitivity:
- Trace elements in semiconductor mineral acids
- Si wafers by Vapor Phase Decomposition (VPD) analysis
- Impurities in photoresist and other organc materials
- Feature Analysis using laser ablation
Agilent 7500i: The instrument developed and optimized for high sample troughput, "mission critical" applications:
- Contract/Govt. regulated laboratories
- Mineral exploration
- Blood and other clinical samples.
