The BioLogic QuadTec UV/Vis detector adds flexibility to all chromatography systems, enabling the simultaneous monitoring of four wavelengths. If your sample is a complex mixture of proteins in a buffer that interferes with routine detection, use the QuadTec detector to monitor off-peak wavelengths such as 245 nm (instead of 280 nm, where buffer components like Triton X-100 absorb strongly). The QuadTec detector can simultaneously monitor at 224 nm for greater protein sensitivity without background interference. The QuadTec UV/Vis detector is available as a stand-alone unit, as an upgrade to existing BioLogic DuoFlow systems, and as part of the BioLogic DuoFlow QuadTec and BioLogic DuoFlow Pathfinder systems. Other features include:
- Individual scaling and colored onscreen chromatogram trace for each wavelength
- Wavelength range of 190–740 nm (with deuterium lamp at 190–370 nm and optional halogen lamp at 370–740 nm)
- Special drop-down 380 nm filter with deuterium lamp for detection of heme proteins such as myoglobin
- Instrument control module (ICM) or BioLogic Maximizer unit to digitally communicate signal to BioLogic DuoFlow workstation
