Description
Scope 1. This MDHS describes a method for measuring exposure to a range of metal and metalloid elements in workplace air using inductively coupled plasma-atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES). The method is suitable for both long-term and short-term exposure measurements. 2. The measurement uncertainty has been estimated for the following elements: Antimony (Sb), Arsenic (As), Beryllium (Be), Cadmium (Cd), Chromium (Cr), Cobalt (Co), Copper (Cu), Indium (In), Iron (Fe), Lead (Pb), Manganese (Mn), Nickel (Ni), Selenium (Se), Tellurium (Te), Tin (Sn), Vanadium (V), Yttrium (Y), Zinc (Zn).
