MERCURY IN LIQUID WASTE (MANUAL COLD-VAPOR TECHNIQUE)

Method 7470 is a cold-vapor atomic absorption spectrometry (CV-AAS) procedure approved for determining the concentration of mercury in mobility-procedure extracts, aqueous wastes, and ground waters. (Method 7470 can also be used for analyzing certain solid and sludge-type wastes; however, Method 7471 is usually the method of choice for these waste types.) All samples must be subjected to an appropriate dissolution step prior to analysis.
