This Standard Reference Material (SRM) is intended primarily for use in the analysis of waste, soils, sediments, or other materials of a similar matrix. SRM 2700 is a soil matrix, contaminated with chromite ore processing residue (COPR) that has been air-dried, sieved, radiation sterilized, and blended to achieve a high degree of homogeneity. The certified values are based on critically evaluated independent analytical techniques. A NIST certified value is a value for which NIST has the highest confidence in its accuracy in that all known or suspected sources of bias have been investigated or taken into account [1]. The measurands are the mass fractions of the elements reported in Table 1. Metrological traceability is to the SI unit for mass, expressed as a mass fraction. keywords: environmental materials , soil/sediment , chromium speciation , speciation analysis
