The CRM was prepared from a loamy soil with a natural level of metal. After beeing dried and milled, the resulting soil powder was put into an amber glass bottle containing a minimum of 24 g of sample. Certification of the CRM included testing of the homogeneity and stbility of the material as well as the characterisation using an intercomparison approach. The main purpose of the material is to assess method performance and check analytical results. As any reference material it can also be used for control charts and validation studies.
