New method for measuring Cr(VI) in Leather

The BGFA (Berufsgenossenschaftliches Forschungsinstitut für Arbeitsmedizin an der Ruhr Universität Bochum) has developed a method for the determination of hexavalent chromium in leather. Using ion chromatography, the method is able to detect down to 0.25 mg Cr/kg leather.
