Description
|
The reference material BAM-H010 is intended for use in quality assurance, especially for measurements of elements in polymers and related matrices. With the provision of BAM-H010, EU Directive 2002/95/EG (RoHS) and EU Directive 2002/96/EG Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) are supported in terms of their practical implementation. According to these directives, the concentrations of the elements bromine, lead, chromium, cadmium and mercury are regulated. Moreover, the industry defines requirements like a high sample throughput in product control. For cost effectiveness, analytical methods are required that offer fast and reliable measurement results. The reference material consists of an acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene terpolymer (ABS) matrix, which has been spiked with the 5 elements. The development and production of the ABS has been carried out by the Fachhochschule Münster. The certification process has been carried out by BAM. This reference material is especially intended for calibration, recalibration and checking of X-ray fluorescence spectrometers and for analytical methods, which require a wet chemical digestion step. |
Package |
The reference material is available in form of granulate (100 g) or as discs with a diameter of 4 cm and a thickness of 1, 2 or 6 mm. |
