EU Commission consults on chromium VI in toys

(05.08.2014)


The aim of this preliminary opinion is to consider whether a revision of the migration limits for chromium VI in toys or components of toys, is necessary in view of new available evidence, in particular, with regard to potential carcinogenic effects of chromium VI.

The consultation will run until 28 September 2014. Interested parties are invited to provide comments on the scientific evidence and conclusions of this preliminary opinion online.
