Yesterday, we welcomed the 22 millionth visitor to the EVISA web portal. Over the past 12 months, more than 2.3 million visitors have used the portal as an information source, viewing an average of 5 pages each. These figures are impressive indicators that the user community not only continues to appreciate EVISA's offerings after more than 20 years but is also growing.
After several years of stagnation—primarily caused by a downgrade of the portal by search engines due to formal criteria, where individual websites were ranked higher than a portal with 17,000 pages of relevant information—EVISA is now back on a growth trajectory.
We take this demonstration of loyalty from our user community as motivation to continue our work in line with EVISA's statutes, namely to provide industry, analysts, and others with easy access to relevant information and know-how in the field of trace element and speciation analysis.
In addition to the quality of the information, EVISA places particular importance on presenting information in its context. To this end, each "News" page includes links to further information regarding the techniques, methodology, instrumentation used, or the significance of the elements and their species in relation to biological effects, environmental impacts, or food safety.
Furthermore, a list of additional EVISA news items allows each contribution to be understood in the context of its historical development. EVISA strives to continually update the information and ensure links to further resources.
The EVISA portal, with more than 17,500 pages, provides information on all important aspects of trace element and speciation analysis, including:
- Techniques and methodology,
- Instruments and their components,
- Reagents, standards, and materials,
- Researchers and their working groups,
- Books and relevant journals,
- Equipment manufacturers, suppliers, publishers, and other companies,
- Legal regulations for the environment, food, or workplace,
- Conferences, symposia, training courses,
- Job opportunities for Ph.D. candidates, postdocs, and employees.
We hope to continue meeting the expectations of our user community in the future and always welcome feedback that can help improve our platform.
